we pursue joyfully our wild need for liberation

By  Stephan Wagner

Artist's statement:

The series comprises freely improvised one word poems: letters in watercolours, overlapping on the page, then cut up and newly arranged, no second-guessing, fragments of words and sounds and notes finding ever new rhythms and tonalities. Missives of joy and of love and of dreams. Because we never know where new harmonies (or lack thereof) can propel
us in this crazy world!

Bio:

Stephan Wagner operates as a particle accelerator for text, but old-school: everything is done by hand, in watercolours or ink. He is based in Québec, Canada, and has published with nOIR:Z (once in collaboration with poetry pioneer bill bissett), on Bandcamp and in Utsanga, and soon with Timglaset in Sweden.
